Meet Jeremy
Jeremy Hendricks has spent his career standing shoulder to shoulder with working families across Texas.
Since 2008, he has served as Assistant Business Manager and Legislative & Policy Director for the Southwest Laborers District Council, representing Laborers’ International Union of North America members in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. He also led the Southwest Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust, building partnerships between labor and industry to promote fair wages, safe workplaces, and responsible contracting.
Jeremy helped lead the fight to establish living wages in Austin and played a key role in launching the Austin Infrastructure Academy, connecting local residents with union apprenticeship programs and good-paying careers in public infrastructure. His work has shaped labor policy and expanded workforce development opportunities statewide.
Beyond his labor leadership, Jeremy has been active in Austin’s civic life—serving on multiple local boards, neighborhood associations, and as President of the Windsor Hills Neighborhood Association. He is also a longtime Democratic Party leader in Travis County and a former Political Director for Congressman Dan Boren.
Jeremy lives in Northeast Austin with his wife, Lyn, and their two rescue dogs. He is proud to call District 50 home and is committed to building a Texas where every family has a fair shot.
